GTS  212

The GTS 212 Cab is what inspired Dynamo Amps to exist!! A long time ago in a recording studio far, far away, we used 200w ported EVM 12L 1x12 cabs to crank a SLO100 head full balls and it was a life changing experience!! It was the most awesome tone we had ever heard in the studio. We started using these cabs for rehearsals and on stage, and we quickly started dreaming of a 2x12 version for touring. Dynamo amps was created to double the power output to push this cab just as hard as a 100w amp into a single 200w EVM 12L speaker.

The GTS cab is rated at 600w RMS and comes loaded with a pair of 300w EVM 12L Black Label speakers that give this cabinet its God sonic tone!!! Construction on this cabinet is a bit different than our other cabs. It uses 3/4   Baltic birch ply on all sides except the front and rear Baffle made of 1" MDF. All edge joints are created with half-blind dovetails. The front speaker baffle is flexed to position each speaker 15 deg off axis to allow a wider sound dispersion and to prevent internal standing sound waves from reflecting back into the speaker from the back board thus allowing maximum output and projection.  The 1 MDF also allows for a flush front speaker mounting. All other support and internal bracing boards are 3/4 Birch ply.

The GTS cab is covered in your choice of exotic faux crocodile, alligator, ostrich, and snake patterns in almost every color. Standard solid color levant tolex and tri-stripe covering is also available. The GTS cab features a front Metal grill and aluminum acoustic ports we call tuned exhaust ports. All steel hardware to include all corners, recessed handle, and oversized 3 in removal casters and a recessed steel jack plate. The GTS cab is wired with Mogami premium Cable and Neutrik connectors.

The GTS cab has a built in speaker emulator XLR mic output by Tube Amp Doctor using F.A.N.T.A (Frequency Adapted Natural Tone Accessory). This allow you to run a direct line from the cab to a mixing board without using a microphone and get a fat amazing mic cabinet tone captured from the speaker output of your amp. We discover on an Ozzfest tour that by using a mic speaker emulator, you can get 95% of the tone quality you would get in a recording studio using proper mic technique but with a simple plug in of the XLR compared to mix bag you get when the sound tech quickly slaps a mic on your cab during a 10 minute set change. This way you can control your tone to be 95% of the perfect studio tone 100% of the time and when you combine the emulated output with an actual mic and blend them on a mixing board or in a recording studio, it will give the ultimate tone quality to tape or over the main concert system arrays.
